MCAC Scholarship
The Madison County Arts Council takes great pleasure in announcing the availability of up to five $1,000.00 scholarships for local Seniors. These scholarships, bestowed annually during the Spring at local schools’ award ceremonies, are granted to individuals based on the excellence of their submitted essays, their past engagement in the arts, and their academic performance. All interested individuals are encouraged to apply, irrespective of their post-high school plans.

William Kerry, LHS graduate
Will plans to go to OSU to study Aerospace Engineering, graduate with honors, and join the marching band.
Julie Dunkley
Julie plans on attending Otterbein and majoring in History. She would like to become a museum curator. She’s really looking forward to college!
Jacob Adkins
Jacob is attending The Ohio State University to major in actuarial science and also trying out for the marching band.
Kurt Lattimer Aspiring Artist Award
Introducing the Kurt Lattimer Aspiring Artist Award, an art competition exclusively open to students from Madison County, Ohio who are set to complete their high school education in the same academic year they participate. This award serves as a tribute to the remarkable artist Kurt Lattimer, whose life was cut short. The intention behind this award is to perpetuate Kurt’s spirit in the hearts of budding artists, a sentiment he would undoubtedly take pride in! The submitted artworks will be showcased at First United Methodist Church, and the winners will be revealed at the annual Young Artist Showcase.
